The afternoon will be spent in the gorgeous town with a guided walking tour and time to enjoy the wonderfully relaxed vibe.

Dinner in our hotel and a good night’s sleep!!

day 2

Thursday June 15th - Lake Bled

In addition to its incredibly beautiful setting, Lake Bled offers a host of exciting activities eg canyoning, louche or rafting, hiking or horse riding.

For the less adventurous, enjoy a fabulous walk or cycle around the lake, a chance to take a boat trip on the lake and ample opportunities to sit in a coffee shop and feel the warmth of the early summer sun while watching the world go by……

Dinner will be back in our hotel followed by an evening out in Ljubljana before going back to pack…

We’ll then leave Friday morning for the 2 hour drive to meet anyone arriving straight to Zagreb

day 3

Friday June 16th - Zagreb

Meeting point: Zagreb airport (ZAG) between 11am – 12noon
Fly via Europe on the airline of your choice: connect to Zagreb, arriving between 10-11 am.
from NY: Delta, AA, Lufthansa, British, Swiss | from TLV: via VIE or IST | from LON: BA direct

From the airport, we’ll bring you to Zagreb for lunch before going off to visit the beautifully designed, world famous, but tragically unique, and incredibly revealing, Jewish section of the Mirogoj cemetery.

Our guide will give us an introduction to the history of the Jews in the region and how it happens that there are so many monuments like the one on the left. It’s a rare testimony to the history of a Jewish community to see the traditional Hebrew lettering and a cross on the same headstone. Our guide will help you understand what communism meant for Judaism in former Yugoslavia.

From there we’ll have a quick look at the town and maybe grab a coffee. Or you might like to shop at a fabulous 4th generation hat shop (men’s too) or pick up a tie (a Croatian invention – the word “cravat” comes from “Croat”) before coming to the hotel to prepare for Shabbat and Dinner. http://www.esplanade.hr

day 4

Shabbat June 17th

A day spent not just praying, eating and sleeping but also enjoying a guided tour of the city and a visit to one of the splendid museums with which the city is blessed. Motzaei Shabbat: as always on our tours, an evening of fun out on the town - in Zagreb!

day 5

Sunday June 18th

It’s time to head towards our cruise mega-yacht Barbara!!
An early start will bring us after a couple of hours’ drive to the Plitvice Lakes, one of the “must-sees” in Croatia. Here we will take a 2-3 hour easy “hike” between the falls and enjoy a picnic lunch. Non-hikers can take leisurely strolls in this gorgeous Park or ride the ferries and buses that are available.

We’ll continue to Zadar to see the town and the unique sea-organ. This is a modern work of art-engineering which enables the sea to create incredible orchestrations using the holes in the sea wall connected to pipes.

A one-hour drive will bring us to meet the Barbara, waiting for us in the port of Split.
We’ll enjoy dinner on board and for those who are up to it invite you for a drink in town.

Once on board we’ll have our own private floating paradise: hotel, kosher restaurant, shul and transport all in one to provide the ideal framework for us to enjoy the stunning islands and the Dalmatian Coast.

We sail for just a few hours each day and dock each evening for a good night’s sleep.

day 6

Mon - Fri, June 19th - 23rd - on a Yacht

Our days will be filled with a mixture of land tours and activities – all included in the price. For example, on Monday morning you’ll be able to do the zip-line in Split, one of the highest and longest in Europe; it is simply (and literally) breathtaking.
Those not wanting to do this will visit the lovely town of Trogir.
After lunch on board, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of Diocletian’s Palace in Split, a tour of the Old Town, with its general and Jewish history and meet the unique individuals who constitute the Jewish community and pray in it’s ancient synagogue.

One day, for another adrenalin rush, we will take an ATV quad-bike tour in the countryside on the island of Brac as part of our visit to that island. And a BIG surprise awaits us on the island of Brac for those who think we Jews have no friends in Europe!!

After lunch, you’re booked into a spa where you can enjoy the treatments or cross the road to the beach for water sports – water-skiing, diving, bananas, windsurfing & jet skis.

We’re going to spend most of one day on Hvar Island.

In the morning we’ll take a tour and in the afternoon continue to discover what this piece of heaven on earth has to offer.

Enjoy lunch as we sail to Korcula, arriving as the town prepares for another wonderful evening. Overnight we’ll stay in Korcula harbour, so you don’t have a curfew!!

One breakfast will be on the move as we sail to Mljet, the lushest of all Croatia’s islands. We’ll spend a few hours in the island’s National Park, hiking, swimming, kayaking, cycling or strolling before returning to the Barbara for lunch as we sail to our final destination.
